How To Be Fit As A Fiddle

In order to understand exactly what fitness is, or what it means to be "fit", we have to define it so that we can have a precise understanding of what, how and why. Right? It almost drove me mad trying to find a definition for fitness and being fit! I searched the internet and writings of leading industry organizations and found very odd, misleading and confusing definitions. It's no wonder everyone struggles to achieve a state that has no clear definition!

A lot of people tend to focus on one area of the body during their fitness workouts. The most effective fitness workout exercises the body as a whole, instead of part by part. Just as the body functions as a sum of its part, an effective fitness exercise regime will as well.

In order to stay fit and healthy, optimum body weight is part of the equation. If you are tired of trying the latest diet fad and getting little or now results then maybe it’s time you tried the time honored method of losing weight. By a simple and effective increase in your metabolism you can start to burn more calories and actually lose weight without having to starve yourself. The best part of increasing your metabolism is it is the best way to keep the weight of too. Metabolism is basically the rate at which your body burns calories. The higher it goes the more calories it consumes.

When a person experiences a high rate of metabolism, they are likely to lose weight quickly. If a person experiences issues in which their metabolism is performing at a slow rate, it is very likely that the individual will gain weight. There are numerous factors that are considered when reviewing the basic metabolism of an individual. These factors include the age of the person, the gender, the eating and drinking habits involved, the amount of physical activity that a person engages in, genetics, as well as the general health of the person.

In conclusion we may say that fitness is not only a personal matter but also a nationwide problem. Obesity in the US is on the increase particularly in the younger generation. It is time that we take action to overcome the challenge. Both our President and Mrs. Obama are hard at work on programs to help youngsters overcome the problem.
